Bachelor of Science student may voluntarily accept internships during their vacations in May to August (12 weeks) or December to January (5 weeks). These internships do not have to be relevant to student's course of study.

Contact NUS Career Centre or Science Dean's Office for more information.

Internships during semester
Bachelor of Science students may voluntarily take up part time internships during the semester provided they can fulfil both responsibilities well. International students are allowed to be interns during the term only if they work less than 16 hours a week.

Leave of Absence (LOA) may be considered for full-time internships. Students may apply for LOA from the Undergraduate Programmes Office (S16 L2). Approval is on a case by case basis. Students on LOA are not considered "students" during that semester.

Companies wishing to recruit International Students for full-time internships during the semester will have to comply with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requirements for temporary staff (e.g. application for work permits / training pass).
