We have won the first Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), and are well represented in the NRF Competitive Research Program (CRP) and NRF Fellowships. Our Principal Investigators have well-equipped research facilities and well-funded research programs. We have many talented graduate students from Asia and beyond joining FoS each year, since we are acknowledged as one of the top universities in Asia.

New Academic Member
A/Prof Shivashankar joined the Department of Biological Sciences on 25 November 2009. He is on a joint appointment with RCE-Mechanobiology. He was formerly an Associate Professor in National Center for Biological Sciences, Tata Inst of Dundamental Research, India.
